AHmaze Font by bluejewel24 AHmaze Font by bluejewel24
long story short..... i needed a maze for an idea i had for a 3D project... the program i spent 2 days drawing one in glitched and wouldnt extrude... but the program will use fonts, so i spent a couple days hunting one with a maze, none did i find... so i got a trial for a font program and made my own lol. =P

im not sure what use it will be to anyone else, but hopefully someone else will find one. it would likely be good for teachers or parents, who want to print something to keep the kids busy lol.

this font has 26 different mazes, 5 varieties.

simple mazes - 6
regular mazes - 6
long divider style mazes - 6
heart mazes - 4
tree mazes - 4

all are set to the lower case letters on the keyboard, and they are of course ment to be used at quite large sizes.

and if i ever get that 3D idea tested and working, ill post it lol. =P

For one thing your white is too thick! Try thinning it by making larger strokes with the blue. If this program allows you to do this. I'm asuming your path is the blue and it needs to be wider or at least as wide as the white to show, otherwise you are only going to get creases.

Hope this helps!

thanks aiw. yes the blue is the path, or what will show when you type. the white is transparent and wont show up, just like in the center of an A, and around it.

im not really sure what your meaning about the white being to thick and your only going to get creases...

at small sizes, as you would mostly use for regular letter fonts, these wont show up well at all. its meant to be used at very large sizes, like 200 or more. after all, there isnt much use for a tiny maze like in the preview size here lol.

for the 3D stuff i made the font for, it works out fine. not for the first idea i had, for a stereogram lol, but for use in bryce it works well. i have an idea for a bryce scene with a maze, but i havent started work on it yet, other than to open a maze in there to be sure it would work.

i could make you a 3D maze for you to open in bryce and see what i mean if you want. in .3ds or bryce format. no clue when i could get it done though, i still have lots to catch up on since my comp went down.

ttyl and glad to see you back girl! :D

Thanks for the offer, Blue, but no thanks. I Hate Mazes.. I would have made a lousey mouse/rat. Poor little pacman always gets eaten, and Reversi drives me batty! They were de riguere in Europe for tete a tetes in the 1700s though. So if I ever design a castle or english garden I might call on you, but can't see myself doing it at this point.

I can see where this would work in Bryce as an object though, just wasn't thinking along those lines. I really haven't worked in 3D for a while, the render times get so crazy. Sometimes the construction of objects just falls apart on me too. I've been spending so much money on survival that I don't have much left for "materials" to use in 3D.

yea a hedge maze is what i had in mind, but who knows if i will ever get it done lol. way to many other things i would have to build for that scene to work well.

i know what you mean about 3D construction falling apart on you, im not great at it either lol, but i still mess with it sometimes. no need for $ for materials though, there are a lot of free ones out there, and you can always make your own... although its way complicated in bryce.

That would be complicated! You could use Poser for statuary, but everything else would have to be built in Bryce. But if you go to DAZ, you might find some freebies that you could use. All their stuff imports into Bryce now that they own the program. They are advertising a version 6 which would be an upgrade for you, cheaper than buying it new. Check it out.

o i can build some things in anim8or, then get it into poser or bryce either. actualy, i might have to run it through poser first, to get it to bryce... been a while since i tryed lol so i forget, i just know i can somehow. =P i seem to collect freebies, but not use them much. it seems like cheating somehow lol.

as for bryce 6, i read the details and would love to upgrade! unfortunatly i have no spare $ at the moment. (like i ever do lol) im still trying to save up for that new comp. everytime i have the $, some disaster strikes and there it goes. :(

I haven't even checked out the Bryce 6, but thought it had to be better than the so called 5.5 upgrade. Money is the root of all evil (as it says) and then takes a run at the root of all frustration. I've found that my biggest gripe is render time when I've designed things in another program and then move it into Bryce. The materials usually don't go with it and I have not checked out how to get the material into the program so I can use it. I even got that mini-program that is supposed to let you network your renders, but no one on my server seems to use Bryce! Aaaargh!
